Felisberto Afonso

Felisberto Afonso is a specialist in climate change, disaster risk management, and community-based adaptation, with over 15 years of experience in Mozambique and across Southern Africa. He has worked with Universities, UN agencies, NGOs, and development partners to lead adaptation planning, emergency response, environmental assessments, and resilience-building initiatives. With a Master’s degree in Disaster Management from the University of Copenhagen and a strong foundation in Meteorology, Mr. Afonso brings deep technical expertise and a proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder processes. Passionate about sustainable and inclusive development, he is committed to strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities in the face of climate and environmental challenges.
