CCS SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH CONSULTING, SA (CCS CONSULTING SA), formerly known CCS Social Research and Consulting, Lda, was stablished in 2018 by PhDs and MAs-level researchers, with between 10 – 35+ years of working experience across Southern African Development Community (SADC), and Europe.

History
CCS CONSULTING SA was stablished in Maputo, Mozambique, in 2017, and finalised its legal process in 2018. It was stablished as CCS Social Research and Consulting, Lda; and, in 2025, it was transformed and renamed to CCS SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH CONSULTING, SA as result of new area of expertise and entering of new partners. Within the new scope, the company has been registered and licensed by the respective Ministries to legally conduct Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) and Audits, and to performing territorial planning, urban land management, or related spatial studies in Mozambique, in compliance with existing Legislation.

Working Approach
Junior staff coaching centers our work in mentorship (graduation) approach. It begins by inter-playing participative approaches and ends with providing deliverables that fit client’s and target groups’ needs.
Tailored Research is the hub of our work, ensuring interventions suit the needs and expected outcome. Our research is based on a strong and thorough understanding of the local context.
Community-centered solutions and training create changes, new realities and agency. CCS built a strong portfolio in supporting clients in developing long-term projects and interventions; by launching a centralised team dedicated to supporting project design and implementation. While providing technical assistance throughout project implementation, we reinforce technical and institutional capacity and know-how.
Using over 45+ of accumulated experience and knowledge, in 2018, a mentor and mentee embarked in a noble mission of founding CCS SOCIAL & ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH CONSULTING, SA to tackle the need of high-quality, wide and unique range of environmental and social services, through integrative approach, multi-disciplinary and multilingual team which works on the basis of professional skills, competence, empathy cross-cultural understanding.
